After training as an English teacher, Helen got married and went straight off to Africa, where she and her husband, Eldryd, taught over a period of 23 years in African universities, in Nigeria, Ethiopia and Ghana. On coming back to London, Helen went on a course at LICC, got hooked and has been here ever since. Her role at LICC enables her to indulge two great passions - for bringing written texts to life and for helping Christians in Britain to develop a global perspective.
Helen has four adult children and four grandchildren, who occupy considerable periods of delightful time. She is also involved in teaching and 'global vision' at her church, St Paul's Hammersmith.
