About LICC

Pray

'Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests…' Ephesians 6:18

Prayer Support - Be a partner with us

At LICC, we recognise the importance of prayer as the foundation of our ministry. As a team, we meet every morning to pray for the vision of LICC, for the work we are involved in, for our supporters and for each other. Do please join us in praying that God will guide and strengthen us for the work he has called us to do.

Thanks

  • We celebrate with Ben and Helen Care on the new arrival of baby Anna Grace on 21st January 2010.
  • For significant meetings and conversations with various denominations, and opportunities to speak at conferences and theological colleges and many other events.
  • For the ongoing work with a number of churches, with young people and directly with people on the front line of work.

Forthcoming Events

The Spring schedule of events at LICC continues with Young Disciples in London, with speakers including Jason and Rachel Gardner, Andrew Smith and Richard Passmore. There will also be the Youth, Culture and Mission Lecture on Gender with Andy Burns.

Other events all round the UK include 21st Century Disciples with Bishop Graham Cray in Aberdeen and The Joy of Work in Warrington. For more detail on all these events, click here.

Toolbox, LICC's high intensity training programme designed to help Christians engage with today's rapidly changing world, by developing skills in biblical interpretation & contemporary cultural engagement, will return on 14th-18th June 2010. To view a clip of our Toolbox Course, click here, or visit our shop to apply.

Activities

Our thoughts and prayers go with Naomi Carle who has recently left us to embark on a PhD in Literature. We are currently recruiting for a replacement; please pray for wisdom and discernment in this process.

To create more working space for our expanding team, the library at St Peter's is being closed down and good homes are being found for the books.

There are further staff changes as on 1st March 2010, Tracy Cotterell takes up the position of Chief Operating Officer and Neil Hudson replaces Tracy as Director of the Imagine Project. Please pray for both Tracy and Neil in their new roles.

Mark Greene - Executive Director - will be speaking at Spring Harvest, Skegness in the Culture Zone during the first week of April. Neil Hudson and Chick Yuill will also be speaking at Spring Harvest at Minehead.

Imagine Team

As the 3-year pilot project draws to a close, the learnings from the project will be published. Please pray for the writing of the Report and that other churches might be encouraged and inspired by the examples we are able to share.

Our Finances

We are grateful for the wonderful generosity of our supporters, especially during these difficult times, but we are conscious that to fulfill the considerable opportunities that are presented to us, substantial additional funds must be generated. In order for the LICC budget to break even in this financial year, some major unexpected gifts are needed. Please pray for God's provision.
