Make a Difference Where You Are

Imagine DotsHow can we reach the UK? This is one of the key questions facing the Church today. We believe that the answer lies in a radical, but simple, re-focusing of our understanding of mission. The UK will be transformed when the Church envisions and equips 'ordinary' men and women to make a difference where we are, where we spend most of our time, where we have most of our relationships, where others can see the difference Christ makes in our lives at work, university, with our neighbours, etc.

Our church culture is permeated by the impact of the sacred / secular divide, the pervasive belief that there are some areas of our lives that really matter to God like church activities, overseas missionary work, personal 'holiness' and others that are, at best, neutral such as work and college.

At LICC, we believe that every part of our lives comes under the Lordship of Christ, and that all of life is a context for worship, mission, ministry and active Christian engagement twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Our strategy therefore focuses on making whole-life discipleship a central, operational component of UK Church culture.

We have the people to reach the UK, but we have simply not been envisioned, resourced and supported to share the Good News of Jesus in our everyday contexts. But every Christian is a full-time Christian worker, with numerous contacts each week outside the Church.
