Details:
What do you think about graduation? Perhaps you can't wait to get out there and make something of your life, perhaps you dread the prospect of leaving behind good student days and student friends.
For everyone it is a significant transition in their lives.
Over the years I have seen many great things done by Christian friends in their places of work. Sadly I have also seen numerous other Christian friends turn their backs on Jesus. What exactly are the issues at stake here? How can we take steps to ensure that we and our friends are those who not only continue to walk on with Jesus, but who live their lives wholeheartedly for him?
There are two main reasons for putting Transition together. to encourage you to stand firm for Christ to challenge you to see the opportunity and urgency of effective Christian witness in your workplace.
What's in Transition?
The material covers five main areas which we hope will be inspiring and helpful to you:
- How to think biblically about the world you are moving into.
- Biblical foundations for understanding work, identity and integrity.
- How work offers one of the key areas for Christian witness.
- How we cope with some of the significant new challenges: money, sex, power and friends.
- The support that God gives to us to help us run the race.
Throughout Transition we have included testimonies of real people, some who have just left University and College and others who have been at work for much longer. We hope you benefit from their experience.
Extra resources, and the text for most of this booklet are available on the website www.graduateimpact.com.
