Brian Draper
Lecturer in Contemporary Culture
Brian plays in a band called the Great Indoors.
He came to LICC in 2001, fresh from four years as editor of the Christian current-affairs magazine Third Way. He holds a degree in theology from the London School of Theology, and was researching the church's response to postmodernity when he was offered the editor's job.
He is now LICC's lecturer in contemporary culture, and editor of Connecting with Culture.
Brian has also helped to pioneer alternative forms of Christian expression within new 'communities' over the past decade, and has spoken widely on the subject. He helped to bring a walking meditation and worship service called Labyrinth to fruition, which is now on a national cathedral tour of the UK.
In 2000, he co-wrote Refreshing Worship (BRF) with his brother Kevin. He has also written a series of poetic meditations to accompany Eddie Gibbs' two most recent books, Way to Go and Way to Serve, published by IVP.
This year, Brian appeared on BBC Radio 4's Thought for the Day for the first time.
