Engaging with Work

Workers

Work. Overall work has been getting tougher for UK workers for at least the last 15 years – whether you are a Christian or not. Longer hours, more pressure, less joy and, for many people, the absence of a sense of meaning and purpose in what they do.

But work remains the primary activity God created us to pursue - in communion with him, and in partnership with others, for the benefit of humankind and to the glory of God. And that applies whether our primary work is in the home, in a school, an office, a factory, a field or a church.

LICC is committed to helping disciples of Christ to honour God in their work and bring Him into their workplace. We hope that the resources below help you to make a difference, whereever you are.

Free Resources

This section contains many articles, book reviews, talks and interviews on topics ranging from management to money to redundancy.

LICC's Resource Shop

If you want to explore in more detail the topics in the free resources, our online resource shop has a wide selection of work-related books, CDs and DVDs available to purchase.

Executive Toolbox Course

Like the more general Toolbox course, this course aims to explore God's word and God's world so that we can communicate more effectively with those around us. Executive Toolbox, however, has a more specific aim: to help those in middle to senior management have a significant impact on the way you work, the people you work with and the organisation you work in.

Work-Related Events

Do you live near London? We run many events at LICC about work. Have a look at our Events page to see what's coming up.
