Introduction

Welcome to Engaging with Youth, LICC's resources for pastors and youth workers.

At the heart of this section is an understanding of the importance of discipling young people so that they grow into whole-life Christians, able to live out their faith effectively in our ever-changing contemporary culture.

Many of the resources you will find here are devoted to the unique challenges we face in the western world in the 21st Century when it comes to nurturing young people towards maturity in faith.

Disciplemaking has become a lost and neglected art amongst churches and particularly in youth contexts. The resources collected here are aimed at equipping you to help young people follow the pattern laid down by Christ.

The resources are divided into three sections:

Mission & Discipleship

The resources here focus on how mission and discipleship work together when reaching out to unchurched youth.

Whole-Life Young Disciples

How do we help young Christians grow in the maturity of being whole-life disciples of Christ? The resources here focus on helping Christian youth live well in all areas of their lives.

Mend the Gap

Mend the Gap, by Jason Gardner, presents the possibility and importance of intergenerational church. This section includes a sample chapter and some related resources around the book.
